Sunday Middle School and High School Clinics
We are offering clinics for middle school and high school boys and girls on Sundays, from January 29 through March 4, at the HVVC Sports Center, to prepare for the spring 2012 AAU/USAV club season.
Middle School Clinic (Grades 5-8) - 5:00 - 6:30 PM
Cost: $90, or $20/day -- 2012 HVVC members: $60, or $15/day
High School Clinic (Grades 6-9) - 6:30 - 8:30 PM
Cost: $120, or $25/day -- 2012 HVVC members: $80, or $20/day

We are also offering winter after-school volleyball programs for Grades 3-6 in Dexter and Grass Lake. To register for the Dexter program, visit the Dexter Community Ed website. To register for the Grass Lake program, go to the Grass Lake Community Ed website.

Tryouts for our Spring AAU (DVC and WAVA) teams will be held on Sunday, March 11 at the Huron Valley Sports Center. A complete tryout schedule will be available soon.

Club Director Rody Foco will assist with the 15U and 16U HVVC National teams, and will also work with all club coaches on their coaching styles and development.
2012 HVVC memberships are now available! Benefits of the $250 membership fee include free tryout fees for our HVVC (National), Huron Valley Elite (Regional) and state teams, application of the membership fee as a down payment on the 2012 team fee or a discount on 2012 summer/fall programs, and a 10% discount on 2011 summer programs. New HVVC Recruiting Coordinator
Cheyenne Luzynski will be joining our HVVC coaching staff as our new Recruiting Coordinator and head of Team Program Development and Training, and will also work closely with our 17U and 18U National teams' coaching staff.
"Coach Lu" is the new Assistant Coach for EMU, and was formerly Head Coach at Alma College. We are happy to have her as part of our staff, and look forward to the skills that she will add to our club in the areas of team and program development and organization. Welcome, Coach Lu!
HVVC and Kroger's Community Rewards Program
Earn money for HVVC when you shop at Kroger by enrolling in the Community Rewards program! Every time you buy something at Kroger, a portion of your spending will go to HVVC. You must have a Kroger Plus card in order to participate. To sign up, go to the Kroger website, create an account, click on the Community Rewards link, and then fill in the blanks on the screen. HVVC's organization number is 90297 (appears as Dexter Volleyball Club).
HVVC Boys' and Men's Programs
We place boys 12 & under on our girls teams if there aren’t enough boys for a full team; when possible, we keep boys together on the same team. The past few years, we’ve also had a high school boys' team play in the Ann Arbor men’s rec league, and also play in men’s tournaments in Ohio. Parents, coaches and other adults are also eligible to play on these teams. Boys' teams will practice either on Sunday afternoon or Sunday evening (exact time TBD). Please contact us for more information or if you are interested in playing!

HVVC offers year-round volleyball training and USAV/AAU/JVA club teams for girls and boys in Southeast Michigan. In addition to our in-house club teams, our affiliate programs - Dexter Volleyball Club (DVC), WAVA (Ypsilanti), River Rats (Ann Arbor) and Chelsea Volleyball Clubs (CVC) offer community-based AAU club teams for the youth in Washtenaw County and surrounding areas.
Our HVVC club teams are composed of three programs:
HVVC Blue and White Travel Teams: offer national-level training and USAV/AAU/JVA competition for juniors. Programs start in November and run through June. HVVC has early tryouts in August and final tryouts on October-November.
Huron Valley Elite Black and Grey Teams: provide top-level training and regional as well as in-state competition for AAU and JVA tournaments. Programs start in November and run through June. Players have tryouts in October-November.
Seasonal Teams: include our winter and spring programs at the state and local level. These teams include our affiliate Club programs and generally have a shorter three-month season, playing tournaments within the state. Winter teams have tryouts in November (playing Dec-March), Spring teams have tryouts in March (playing March-June)
Beginning in January 2011, all of our Club Teams practice at the Huron Valley Sports Center ( 815 Woodland Dr, Saline), which is also the site of our year-round training center.
Huron Valley Volleyball Clubs (HVVC) is a charitable 501(c)3 organization. It has a parent/coach board of directors and is staffed with a club director and club manager. HVVC was formed by the merger of WAVA and Dexter Volleyball Club in 2003. WAVA was originally founded in 1989 to serve Ypsilanti and eastern Washtenaw County. DVC was founded in 1995 to serve the Dexter Community. River Rats was created in 2003; in 2006, Chelsea Volleyball Club joined us and we established our A2 Elite (now Huron Valley Elite) Regional teams.
